Greenway Property Solutions LLC will be on the clock - in full force - for the next 48 hours or so, doing our best to provide quality snow removal service to our clients in the Greater Boston area.

With wind gust projections topping off anywhere from 50 to 90 mph we made it a point to equip all of our trucks with chainsaws for this storm. If you or someone you know is faced with a tree/limb related EMERGENCY, first call 911 and report it. Once reported, call Mark @ 857-236-7889 or Ray @ 857-312-2426 and we will provide emergency services to the best of our ability, given the situation. For all non-emergencies related to fallen trees or limbs, please text either of the aforementioned numbers and provide your name, address, contact info, and a brief description of the situation.

Just a PSA for homeowners considering hiring local contractors for any type of projects: the price of materials, mainly lumber, has skyrocketed during the Covid 19 pandemic. Those quotes you’re getting don’t seem high because we’re trying to rip you off, we’re actually the ones taking the risk because these prices fluctuate like the stock market and a $3000 materials quote in March could easily wind up costing $4000 in June.

While I’ve been running around doing fall cleanups my foreman Ray and his crew did an awesome job on this retaining wall/stockade fence job. Our client in Forest Hills has a backyard with basically an 80’ drop-off at the edge of the property. We cut in to the back end of the existing bed and ran a basic 4 course cinder block retaining wall, reinforced every 3 feet with 5’ rebar, and 3/4” PVC weep holes for proper drainage. This solved the erosion problem, but when you have young kids, safety is your #1 concern so we installed a basic 50’ stockade fence spanning the length of the wall.

At the end of the day we solved 2 significant problems that our client had with their new home, and at the same time added aesthetic appeal to the property - that’s the name of the game... on to the next one!

Back in Somerville today to transform an overgrown, underappreciated back yard space! Nothing too fancy - a cleanup and some shrub removal cleared the way for us to scalp the top layer of weeds/grass to make way for a couple yards of topsoil and a round of bluegrass/fescue blend sod. Lastly, our clients wanted a sitting area so we installed some 6” steel edging (fun time bending it into a perfect circle 😂) and brought in a yard of pea stone. It will be a great new home for the portable fire pit they just bought!
