From our client services team -- an illustration of why the details matter!

We always design for & install surge protectors on the outdoor wiring we do. A client recently reported an outage of some network devices after an electrical storm. It appears that a camera mounted on a tree took a hit strong enough to blow out a section of 2" conduit that housed the wire as well as the PoE injector (pictured) in the outdoor NEMA enclosure 60' away.

Luckily, the network surge protector sacrificed itself (as it's designed to do) and likely saved the main house electronics from further damage. ⚡️

Last Thursday at the 2023 PRISM Awards, our Boston Experience Center won Gold for Best Showroom! 🎉

Greater Boston is such a vibrant community with so many talented designers, builders, and architects. What an incredible celebration of excellence Thursday night was. It is a joy to work alongside so many of you on these incredible projects. Thank you to Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston for the recognition and for hosting a beautiful event, and congratulations to all the other winners!

We believe there's something special about what we've created at the Experience Center, but it is so exciting to receive this recognition on a national level. The highlight of our week in Boston was Ashley, our VP of Design & Ops, bringing her son for a tour! We loved seeing his face light up at the ‘magic’ of lighting and shading, and being able to control it himself with a press of a button.

We sometimes hear the concern that a lighting & shading control system is ‘too complicated’, but this is really what it’s all about — making sophisticated and beautiful lighting & shading technologies intuitive to use and seamless to incorporate into your daily life. Once you experience and live with the ‘magic’, it’s hard to imagine it any other way!

We're just arriving in Orlando for the Total Tech Summit, and the technology in the new Orlando International Airport (MCO) Terminal C is so striking! It is such an experience walking through the terminal, from dynamically shifting lighting to the large video wall 'windows' and curved video displays. A great example of how lighting and technology together can create an environment and sense of place.
