On a beautiful summer morning, local and state officials, along with neighborhood kids, cut the ribbon to the CSS designed playground in Pope John Paul II Park along the Neponset River, a site reclaimed from a former landfill, drive-in theater and lumber yard.

Saugus Middle/ High School was awarded the Learning by Design 2021 Grand Prize for a Combined-Level High School. CSS served as Project Landsape Architect to HMFH Architects.

CSS Associate Haipeng Zhu, along with Rachel Loeffler, Principal at Berkshire Design Group, will lead an online BSLA (Boston Society of Landscape Architects) conversation centered around the importance of licensure. They’ll discuss why to take the Landscape Architecture Registration Exam (LARE), share a few paths for getting there, and offer some tools, tricks, and support.

Deneen Crosby, and DCR Project Manager Stella Lensing, led a tour of the Neponset River Greenway on Sunday, October 28, as part of the Boston Society of Landscape Architects Inside/Outside program.
