Water intrusion from a bad slope and no silicone. Grout is not waterproof. 100% silicone (grout color match) is required...

Water intrusion from a bad slope and no silicone. Grout is not waterproof. 100% silicone (grout color match) is required on any change of plane and the shower pan must be sloped 1/4" per foot to the drain. I'm going to remove the shower pan and 3 rows of tile then install a Schluter shower pan and replace the tile. Then on to removing the grout in the corners and replace with color match silicone. It should extend the life of this shower by 20 yrs. Hopefully there isn't too much rot underneath.

I love how this one turned out. Ready for grout.
