Another challenging shoreline project completed by KKH Home Services!
This project started with the removal of an existing retaining wall and the excavation and relocation of over 430 square feet of soil to create a stronger, larger functional outdoor space.
✅ Removed existing retaining wall
✅ Excavated and relocated approximately 430 sq. ft. of material
✅ Reinstalled the retaining wall block system with proper drainage
✅ Installed 1" clean backfill rock behind the wall for long-term performance
✅ Constructed a new 15' x 12' concrete patio overlooking the lake
✅ Backfilled and regraded the steep slope for improved stability
✅ Installed premium screened black dirt
✅ Hydro seeded the entire disturbed area for new grass growth
✅ Added erosion control measures to protect the slope from heavy rain and runoff
Projects like this require careful planning, proper drainage, and attention to detail to ensure the finished product looks great and performs for years to come.

Another shoreline restoration project wrapped up!
This lakefront had become overgrown with w**ds, volunteer trees, shrubs, and debris making it difficult to maintain and causing shoreline erosion. We came in and completely transformed the area back into a clean, solid, and easy-to-maintain shoreline.
✔️ Removed w**ds, leaves, volunteer trees & brush
✔️ Applied aquatic-safe w**d control
✔️ Installed w**d barrier protection
✔️ Added large shoreline rock for erosion control
✔️ Built the shoreline back up for a cleaner look and easier mowing
The finished product not only protects the shoreline from erosion and wave action, but also gives the property a much more natural lakefront appearance.

🌱 Another Hydro Seeding Project Wrapped Up 🌱
This collaboration project turned out great! We completed approximately a half-acre hydro seeding project including:
✔️ Final grading & prep
✔️ Starter fertilizer application
✔️ Premium hydro mulch application
✔️ Even coverage for strong germination and erosion control
Hydro seeding is one of the best options for establishing a thick, healthy lawn quickly while helping retain moisture and reduce washout.
Big shoutout to TNT Lawn & Landscaping and Grass Assassin for teaming up on this one. Great work by everyone involved. 👊

Nate and April Porter were experiencing erosion issues around their barn and patio due to the natural slope and water runoff. To correct the problem, we installed a retaining wall using County Materials Tribute® Smooth Reflections landscape blocks with matching caps, giving the patio strong structural support and a clean, modern finish.
We also regraded the area and installed new drainage around the barn to properly move water away from the structure and prevent future erosion.
