This lady beetle is likely a Multicolored Asian lady beetle
The bright yellow-orange objects directly below the beetle are its egg cluster, typically laid in groups of about a dozen. We are seeing an up tick in the lady bug activity in the valley.
While invasive in many regions, they are beneficial insects that voraciously consume aphids and scale insects, often eating up to 50 aphids a day. If you are noticing a lot of “lady bugs” check your trees/shrubs for aphids activity or give us a call. 🌲
