Florida palm trees often have a magnesium deficiency, just like lotus do. When this mobile nutrient moves from the older fronds to the new ones, it is much more obvious than in lotus leaves. • The results are the same -- yellowing leaves with a green central area.

Lotus also like stability for new roots to form, so they will be ready to find food when the tuber supply ends. • Tubers DO NOT like big changes in temperatures or being moved around too much.
