Wanting to better organize this empty space in their mud room they chose rustic alder cabinets stained dark walnut with a couple benches. One bench has drawers underneath and the other has open space for shoes. Many shelves were added for additional storage and we customized a space for their Roomba to dock unseen.

Nostalgia post:

This past week I met up with a customer who is preparing a house for sale and I’m refinishing the kitchen doors. When I showed up, there was a piece of paper folded up on the counter. She said her brother had given that to her. I noticed that at the top it said Hagemann’s Cabinet Shop, which was my dad’s business. She opened it up and it was an invoice for a kitchen my dad had done for her brother back in 1996 which would have made me a junior in High School. I thought it was pretty awesome that someone kept it for so long and what a small world that I got to see it. She asked if I would like to have it and I said absolutely! Whether it’s pure luck or the universe’s way of letting me know he’s still watching, thanks dad for teaching me the skills I needed to continue this work.

Here's one of my recent kitchen remodels. The homeowners decided on circle-sawn pine, with the cabinets stained white and finished with a white lacquer. They chose double islands, stained and finished a beautiful blue to match their backsplash. To customize their kitchen, they added an appliance cabinet with pocket doors, floating shelves, a roll-out spice rack and garbage cans, and built-in paper towel holders. They also added speaker cabinets in the uppers for when they are entertaining, hidden behind the black speaker screens. Not to forget about those fur babies, they also added a built-in dog kennel! I hope they enjoy and love their new kitchen for many years to come!

Out with the old and in with the new(er)! It was time to upgrade and needed a vehicle that was better equipped for the business! Thank you to Clayton's Auto Repair for checking it over for me.
I’ve been busy the last few months working on cabinets for a new construction house and should be wrapping that up in the coming weeks. Photos to follow for that. Here’s to a new year!
