First Editions® Sweet Cherry Pie™ Cherry

From Wisconsin orchardist Bill Eubank, this new sour pie cherry has a fairly sweet tasting cherry. Although, not quite for fresh eating like a 'Bing', they are fantastic for jams, jellies, and pies. With its compact size, this is a great tree for the home garden or small orchard.

Inventory will be available this weekend!

For those that have already ordered, it's FINALLY time to schedule your pick-up or delivery. As always, we can hold your items for as long as you'd like, but the sooner they get planted the better (as the soil warms in your area - ideally 45° soil temps).

If you have not yet ordered, we recommend you do so soon as pre-orders have been pretty heavy this year and we're already running low on a few items. Please see our website for availability or feel free to send us an email with a list of items so we can put them aside for you.

Looks like the Zestar apples are ready here in our orchard.
Perhaps a 'little' ahead of schedule. This might be time to check yours as well, by cutting one open....if the seeds are brown, they're ready for picking!

We've been meaning to send a crucial WATERING update. Please, with this weather, really important to water almost DAILY for new trees and bushes. They'll thank you later with their fruit.

Also, not trying to sell anyone but we've got some really great lookin' bushes ready to go....Roses, gooseberry & LOADED currant bushes.

*Remember, horizontal branching promotes fruit development; whereas vertical branch growth retards side branching and encourages long, spindly, weak branches.

Also, just a gentle reminder not to forget to water your newly planted trees AT LEAST every other day in this dry and windy weather. Even established trees need at least 1 inch or 5 gallons of water each week to minimize stress and maximize fruit production.

There's just something about Spring... the first leaves on the trees and some of the first blossoms. We've had the Nanking Cherry bushes blooming, now the Plums. Here's one just from the back yard.
