An awesome company we work with called us to help out with an insurance claim. There were cracked seams all throughout this ceiling.
Here is our step by step, getting it back to brand new!
-First was to mask everything completely, Walls, Floors, Furniture, Cabinets, doorways, etc.
-Next was to cut out the failing tape lines, and reattach the sheetrock to the trusses, then bevel the edges of the old texture toward the seams.
-Then we laid new Sheetrock tape, and ran the 1st pass of mud and waited for it to dry.
-Then was the tricky part, sanding down our seams and trying to match the bag/knockdown texture on the ceiling.
-The next day we were able to sand down the bag stamps, prime our fresh patches, and then paint the ceiling.
-Final step was clean up, always finish as strong as we start!
