In 1965 George and Jeane Martin started a new business adventure and created Wayside Fences. Their goal was to create a fence company rooted in quality materials and services for the best fence available. Within the business George was responsible for the day-to-day operations and Jeane was charged with the book-keeping and driving George after work to look at jobs (as George was legally blind) or even running supplies to the crews in the field. Today the business is run by their son Ed and grandson Evan.

Before starting this adventure, Jeane worked for 40 years as an x-ray technician at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, after her retirement she spent every Wednesday for an additional 20 years as a volunteer at the front desk at BMH welcoming patients and visitors to the hospital, and assisting them with directions as needed.

It is hard to accept the fact that this amazing lady has passed, but we will forever hold her memories near and dear, until we meet again, we love and miss you everyday Mom / Grammie - George, Ed and Evan.

Quick repair of an automated gate from a vehicle strike, we repaired the damaged conduit / wiring, replaced the bent gate with a custom fabricated gate, and got the systems up and working again! Special shout out to Ed and Todd for getting this gate turned around in our welding shop between snow storms!
