Transylvania County Extension Master Gardeners

Transylvania County Extension Master Gardeners Extension Master Gardeners Volunteers are a non-profit service group whose purpose is: “Putting Gardening Knowledge to Work in Transylvania County”.

NC State Master Gardener volunteers empower North Carolinians to cultivate healthy plants, landscapes, ecosystems, and communities through volunteer service that delivers research-based information, educational programming, and community outreach. Our approximately eighty member-gardeners support the Extension Service in its mission to provide the latest research-based information regarding garden

ing issues unique to Transylvania County, NC. Anyone can apply to become a Master Gardener. No gardening expertise is required, just a willingness to learn about gardening in Transylvania County and serve the community. Good Afternoon

I wanted to thank those who joined us (in between rain squalls) to w**d that inner Rain garden. It desperately needed it!

Next step…..I will be bringing some mulch in the next few days for the inner garden. Then - the outer garden needs serious w**ding and prepping.

Again, I cannot thank you enough. Once we get that much down, the inner garden is ready for Demonstration Day on June 6th.
