I don't water my landscape at all. I also only pick up fall leaves from walkways. So I don't have to mulch either. Nature takes care of it.
I do make sure the bird baths and ponds are full and fresh.
We have so many migrating visitors and residents alike.
Pesticide and fertilizer free baby..

When you're bee friendly and they know it.
Dude parked on one of my drums for a couple hours.
He actually took a solo.

I relocated him during a break after the evening air became less than suitable for flight.

Aka 'Texas Lilac' is native and medicinal. Abundant flowers with intoxicating fragrance too. The leaves have a soapy smell almost like Eucalyptus.
A few years ago it had a hard freeze and it died back to the ground. Zone 7 is apparently the limit to the northern range.
