Central Supply Company of WV began operating in Clarksburg, WV in 1915. We sold grain, feed, hay, buggy parts, sand and stone, cement and other like items necessary to the agricultural and building trades. Our Clarksburg plant saw 4 generations of family ownership. Horses were originally boarded in the basement and were used for delivery. That same basement later housed dump trucks that we use tod
ay! We began selling ready-mixed concrete in the 1940s, delivering ready-mixed concrete in some of the 1st 2 CY mixers made. Central moved to “Saltwell,” near I-79 in Bridgeport, WV in 1992. Our new office houses our administrative staff, as well as our masonry products showroom and exterior patio paver/wall displays. We believe that our brick and masonry products showroom is “second-to-none!” Our ready Mixed Concrete Plant is a fully computerized, 3 silos, 12 CY batch,150CY/HR dry-batch facility. We produce gray block, colored architectural block and “Keystone” retaining wall block from our fully automated & computerized Besser plant. Our Building Material Warehouse and sales outlet services Harrison and Marion, as well as surrounding counties with a complete line of concrete and masonry related construction materials. We next expanded to service the Morgantown, WV construction market by opening a retail building supply store near the Sabraton Exit of I-68. This location houses our brick, paver, architectural block and manufactured stone display showroom, as well as a full complement of block, aggregates, steel, masonry and concrete accessories. Our fully computerized, ready-mixed concrete batching facility is a high-production, environmentally friendly facility that serves Monongalia County, as well as southwest, PA and western MD. The early 2000's saw Central's expansion into Elkins, WV and the Randolph County area. Our computerized batching facility just off of Rt. 33 services Elkins, Buckhannon, Philippi, Parsons, Canaan Valley, Snowshoe, Marlinton, and Petersburg. 2007 saw the addition of Concrete Plants and Building Supply retail locations in Glenville, WV and Gassaway, WV. These locations allow us serve these communities, as well as, the surrounding counties of Nicholas, Lewis, Upshur, Webster, Clay, Roane, and Calhoun. The name “Central Supply” has been synonymous with “service” for nearly 100 years and 4 generations. We serve our customers in communities throughout north and central West Virginia, southwest Pennsylvania and western Maryland. We operate fleets of both rear and front discharge mixers, telescopic boom unloaders, “moffett” rear-mounted forktruck unloaders, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and boom and trailer concrete pumps. While we strive to promote our main product lines of Ready-Mixed Concrete, Concrete Block, Concrete Pumping, Insulated Concrete Forms, Brick and Builders’ Materials, our number one goal is to forge partnerships with our customers through hard work and service.
