Wagoner Pottery

Wagoner Pottery Wagoner Pottery is Chuck & Sue Wagoner. We love creating pottery that is made to be used. All pottery is made to use and is microwave and dishwasher safe

Established in 1982 at Billie Creek Village, we specialize in making one-of-a-kind, wheel-thrown, high-fire Indiana Stoneware pottery that is made to be used in the dishwasher, microwave, and oven. All glazes are lead-free and specifically made for food use. Since the closure of BCV Wagoner Pottery is made in our own studio and we also demonstrate and produce pottery at the Old Bridgeton Mill just south of Rockville.

We were commissioned to make the Vermillion county ornament for the Indiana State Museum "Counties" Christmas tree. Only seemed fitting to make it out of "Red Earth" since the county was named after the Vermillion river and the bright red earth found on its banks. It was nice that the curator, Paula Katz, could come to visit the Bridgeton Mill and pick it up in person.

“Don’t worry, we’ll make more”
We just keep working at night to finish more work to bring in throughout the festival, often unloading kilns in the wee hours to bring in the morning.

This year we made a series of 100 signed, dated and numbered Covered Bridge Festival mugs. One side is day and one side night in our original fall gold glaze.
