Slides are a fun addition to your pool, especially for kids. But there are some things you need to before installing one:

👉 Permits come first. Most residential pools that hold 24 inches or more of water require a permit, and the application typically includes a site plan showing setbacks, existing structures, fencing, and drainage or backwash locations.

👉 Not every pool slide is code compliant. Residential pool slides must meet federal safety standards (16 CFR Part 1207) and be installed exactly according to the manufacturer's specifications.

👉 Placement matters just as much as the slide itself. The slide must be installed with the proper water depth, landing area, and clear runout to help ensure a safe exit into the pool.

Our advice? Work with an experienced pool builder. From permits and layout to installation and inspections, planning for a pool slide starts long before construction begins. At PSW, we manage the entire pool installation process from start to finish, so all you have to do is enjoy your pool worry-free.

A 2D plan is essential, but it can only communicate so much. A 3D render shows homeowners and contractors how every detail will work together before construction begins.

For this residential project, Vizyon started with a detailed site scan and translated thousands of data points into a realistic visualization of the finished outdoor living space.

Instead of interpreting lines on a page, the client could clearly see:

📐 How the property's slope affects the design and where stone steps are needed.

🌿 Where retaining walls and plantings should be placed around the raised areas.

💦 Small details like deck jets, fire bowls, lighting, and material selections.

🏊 How the pool, patios, and surrounding spaces connect as one complete design.

Seeing these details before breaking ground helps homeowners make confident decisions while giving contractors a clear reference throughout construction. This can reduce revisions, improve coordination, and help keep the project on track.
