Peak growing season may be winding down for much of the country, but there’s still time to plant a few short-season edibles. These can include spinach, kale, radishes, garlic, leaf lettuce, and so many more! These are short-season crops so there’s still time for growing them again, especially because they prefer cooler temperatures. Even some varieties of cabbage can be grown into the winter season!

I can remember my father pointing out the different trees in the Winter landscape. I thought it was incredible with no leaf in site. As you observe trees you do begin to see differences in tree shape and other characteristics such as bark. 🌲
