Timing on this according to the NOAA’s National Weather Service is mid to late afternoon. Not a huge chance at the moment but definitely have some plans in place in case!

A severe threat will gradually spread eastward through the afternoon. The main concerns are damaging wind gusts and severe hail. A localized tornado risk is also possible, though less certain. Stay weather-aware and be ready to take shelter if conditions worsen.

Chances of severe weather have been building up over the last few days, from what we’ve seen so far today in the southwest, the warning has been very accurate. SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH ISSUED: A Severe Thunderstorm Watch (highlighted in pink) is in effect for much of Northeastern, North Central and East Central Ohio until 7 PM.

Damaging winds in excess of 75 MPH, hail to 2" in diameter and a couple of tornadoes are all possible. Heavy rainfall may lead to localized flooding.

Stay weather aware this afternoon and evening and be prepared to seek shelter indoors as storms move through your area.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 3 PM for the counties highlighted in yellow however, we expect this to be cancelled prior to 3 PM.
