Extended a deck for a customer in Mayfield. Really only kept a little bit of the framing from the existing deck. Here's a photo of the prior deck and a couple photos of the completed job. Better Homes also installed a Marvin patio door. This job was done in October of 2024.

Deck repair for homeowners in Mayfield. The existing deck stairs only had two stair stringers that spanned over 36 inches. The existing deck stairs were unstable and unlevel. Better Homes removed the deck stairs and vinyl railings. Better Homes poured a 5-inch thick concrete pad for the new deck stairs. Better Homes built a new set of stairs and replaced the vinyl railings with pressure treated railings. The railings had to go to the top of the existing 4x4 posts to get the minimum 36-inch railing height.

The customer bought a modular house that had a really bad tile job in the shower off their master bedroom. The shower floor mosaic tile had a failure. There were several things wrong with the tile job. Better Homes removed the tile, installed a new shower base and wall tile board, and installed a new tiled shower.

Interior wall removal to open up the kitchen to the living room. Better Homes installed a triple 14" LVL beam 18' long, poured a footer in the basement, and added a steel column to carry the point load on one end of the beam. The other end of the beam has its point load coming down on the foundation wall.
