BASEMENT REMODEL PROGRESS — WHAT A DIFFERENCE!

The final two photos show where this basement started. Today, our crew made major progress toward transforming this outdated space into a clean, comfortable, and dependable part of the home.

Today’s work included:

• Installing mold- and moisture-resistant drywall
• Taping and applying the first coats of drywall compound
• Enclosing the newly repaired and reframed wall areas
• Continuing detailed finishing around the bathroom and adjoining rooms
• Protecting the newly coated floor throughout construction
• Preparing the walls for final finishing, primer, and paint

ROOF AND CHIMNEY REPAIR COMPLETED

Re visit from last job to now work on the roof 💪

Another vulnerable roof and chimney area properly repaired for one of our customers.

We removed and carefully reroofed the affected section, installing ice-and-water shield throughout the entire repair area—including the most vulnerable points where water intrusion commonly begins.

For added protection around the chimney, we installed additional flashing and flashing tape, then applied heavy-duty exterior sealant wherever needed. During shingle installation, a protective bead of sealant was placed beneath each shingle, along with an additional bead beside the chimney to help prevent wind-driven rain and future leaks.

This wasn’t a quick patch. It was a layered repair completed with long-term protection in mind.

Safe to say, this chimney and the roof area we repaired should not be seeing water anytime soon.

BASEMENT REMODEL PROGRESS — COMPLETION SET FOR THIS WEEK!

This basement has undergone much more than a cosmetic update. We addressed the underlying moisture and structural damage first so the finished space can be cleaner, stronger, and built to last.

Progress completed:

• Mold-affected drywall and rotted framing were completely removed
• Damaged framing was rebuilt with proper ground-contact pressure-treated lumber
• Remaining affected areas received 3–5+ mold-treatment applications as needed for initial treatment and future prevention
• Masonry cracks were filled and waterproofing was completed across four foundation walls and the surrounding floor areas
• A new sump pump was installed and is working better than ever
• A new slider window was installed for improved ventilation
• The rotted window rough opening was removed and properly reframed
• A new high-gloss epoxy floor coating was installed, then carefully masked and protected during construction
• New moisture- and mold-resistant drywall was installed
• The first coats of drywall mud have now been applied

Our finish crew will be on-site this week to complete the final stages and turn this basement into something beautiful!

Another chimney repair completed from top to bottom.

This chimney had deteriorated mortar joints, separation near the top, damaged masonry inside the attic, and flashing areas that needed attention. Our team completed the necessary masonry repairs, sealed the vulnerable joints and gaps, installed new black flashing, and finished the project with a custom-fitted black chimney cap.

The new cap helps protect the chimney opening from rain, snow, debris, and unwanted pests while giving the roofline a clean, finished appearance.

A major step completed in this basement transformation—the new gloss floor finish is down.

After careful floor preparation, patching, cleaning, and coating, this basement now has a smooth, clean, light-reflective finish that immediately makes the space feel brighter and more inviting. The durable coated surface will also be much easier to maintain than unfinished concrete.

This project has already included demolition, removal of damaged materials, surface-mold treatment, replacement of deteriorated framing, masonry and waterproofing repairs, and installation of a new basement window. With the floor completed, the space is ready for the next stages of framing, drywall, trim, and finishing.

CHIMNEY REPAIR + BASEMENT REMODEL PROGRESS

Our team completed another productive day helping a local homeowner protect and improve their property.

We rebuilt the chimney flashing with a clean black finish, repaired and sealed the open gap at the top, and sealed deteriorated mortar joints that were beginning to fall apart. We also completed additional mortar repairs from inside the attic to address the problem from both sides.

We’ll return to install a matching black chimney cap, which will protect the opening while complementing the new black flashing.

Inside the home, we installed a new basement slider window and continued preparing the floor for its gloss coating. Window trim and drywall installation are coming next as this basement renovation continues taking shape.

This basement project is moving forward the right way.

We started with drywall removal and demolition to open up the walls and fully inspect the space. Once everything was exposed, we uncovered moisture-related damage, mold-affected areas, and rotted framing that needed to be addressed before rebuilding.

Work completed and underway includes:
