On November 3, 2005 Nathan's Landscaping LLC was formed. I started with a $50k bank loan. I bought a simple work truck with plow and sander, bought a trailer and a couple of mowers, and that's it. In 2008, I purchased my home and moved my shop there as well. I didn't purchase a second truck until around 2011, for the sake of plowing. I have always had a good deal of pride when thinking back on the sheer amount of work we could do with only two trucks with drivers. From 2014-2018 I ran two crews. Nathan's Landscaping Llc eventually became Nathan's Tree and Landscape llc, and equipment grew in number. My best purchases ever: 08 first tractor; 15 new dump truck; 16 excavator and dump truck (to replace my totalled truck); 22 xls snowplow. These were all pivotal in how we did business and increased our potential. But, above it all, we learned. I learned. Sadly, I saw the future of maintenance as dismal, and we were not making good margins, so we cut residential mowing from services offered. The macroburst in 18 took care of that transition to a full service tree company.
Now, we turned 19, and bounding into our 20th year in business, 22 years dba. We've seen alot of people come and go, business competition, and employees from time to time, but we're still here. Too stubborn to quit, and too stoopid to do anything else... but I love it. Happy holiday season everyone, and I know many are looking forward to turning the page to 2025 like I am. Good times are upon us.
