They are also used extensively in South America for construction and other uses due to their unique trait of producing solid culms, unlike most other bamboos that are hollow. Panda food and beautiful, clumping Borinda angustissima are now available for order, 1 gallon plants are 1-4' tall and pushing out new culms. This stunning non-running upright grower is hardy to 10f and can reach 20' tall. The purple culm sheaths give this species an attractive appearance. MEXICAN WEEPING BAMBOO, These are 2023 seedlings. An interesting bamboo from Mexico with a full bodied habit and long narrow drooping leaves. It is quite beautiful a weeping form and light green color. Great for the warmer zones of the USA and easily grown indoors in a bright location.
