Today we enjoyed the 🫛 in Little Bear Patch Garden. We harvested both snap and shelling peas. Join Curry County Master Gardener volunteers every Wednesday, 11-1, in the garden at Kalmiopsis Elementary.

The teachers and students often bring cards and gifts of appreciation. They're always cute and heartwarming. The batch delivered this week from a 4th grade class was very creative. They gave us blank books. Perfect journals to record our summer activities.

Open Garden Hours at Little Bear Patch Garden Kalmiopsis Elementary 11-1 on Wednesdays. Come harvest strawberries and plant.

Picking strawberries and bug hunting closed out the final 2025-26 garden classes at Kalmiopsis Elementary. A student brought the Little Bear Patch Garden a gift - a painted rock of a basket of strawberries!

Last fall, we harvested strawberry runners and rooted them. Now, the students have been up potting the strawberries starts to take home. The potted plant goes home in a bag. A second grade class also had fun with bubbles today in the garden. And, of course everyone ate fresh 🍓

We love bees at Little Bear Patch Garden. Even our gloves have bees on them.

A 4th grade class made bouquets today. They learned how to size their bouquets and where to trim stems and strip off lower leaves.

The Curry County Master Gardener Association 2026 class showed some love to the school garden on Valentines Day. We're getting it ready for classes later this spring.
