Is it narcissistic to decorate your apartment with your own artwork??

You tell me.

Either way, I’m not taking these paintings down from this wall - regardless of if I like how they’ve turned out or not, they’re a reminder of the progress I’ve made over the last 4 years, the places I’ve been, and some really awesome memories.

If that doesn’t make a house feel like your home, idk what will!

I sit with each painting for around a week - 5 to 15 hours slowly making progress on the piece.

There are a lot of ups and downs during that time, no matter what I’m painting. Excitement, self-doubt, worry, pride, and relief.

Imposter syndrome is real, and it’s never more present during the ugly stages of a painting.

Once the painting is off to its new home, another set of emotions roll in. Did I do a good enough job? Will they like it? Should they have trusted me with this memory?

It’s not until I get messages like these, where the voices quiet and I can just be proud of what I’ve been able to do.

I’ve come a long way since I started painting 4 years ago. I never thought I’d be here and be trusted by so many to capture their stories.

Commissions are officially booked up, but they’ll be back in September if there’s a story you’d like to trust me with.

My goal is to paint every stadium in professional sports - which one should I paint next??

Why make painting stadiums a goal of mine?

Well first - I paint things that I love. Second - some of my most cherished memories with friends and family happen in some of these places. And third - everyone’s got a story.

I remember going to baseball games in Baltimore with my dad as a kid. After college, I moved to Baltimore, about 10 minutes from the stadium. Heading into the park - I could feel like a kid again.

I remember incredible wins, heartbreaking losses, and the hope for next season.

That’s why I love painting these places - it may be a great year, it may be a terrible season, it may be the off season or you might have moved away - these paintings can be a window into those memories without having to buy a ticket to the game.

Do you think art can take you back in time?

I do. and these paintings are proof of that.

I spent around 24 hours getting inspiration, sketching, and painting each of these 3 pieces. After a while, I felt like I could put myself in my Mimi’s shoes 80ish years ago as she ran through the halls of the Brooklyn Museum, played in the Botanic Gardens, and watched Jackie Robinson and the Dodgers play at Ebbet’s Field.

While most of these places are still standing, whenever I look at these paintings, I’m reminded that art has the power to be a window to the past.

Day 84/100

Another sketchbook piece - completely messed this one up (hence the bright orange building) but the show must go on.

Fun fact: I took this picture exactly a year ago in Barcelona.

Even funner fact: I took an almost identical picture of this place about 4 years ago and painted it way back when I first started with art.

I’m not gonna compare the paintings though - mostly because of the mistake I made with this one.

On to the next!

Day 80+81 /100

I flew Spirit for my holiday travels and didn’t splurge for a carry on bag. Unfortunately, my painting supplies lost out to clean socks and my toiletries in my back pack.

Even still, the art must go on. With my pencil and a new sketch book, I’ve been practicing by copying the old masters. Here are 4 of my first attempts at sketches of one of my favorites, Caspar David Friedrich.

How do you think I compare??

A little Christmas delivery today (but don’t call me Santa, this is a paid arrangement)

Painting 2 of 3 of my Aunt and Uncles’ favorite places on the planet. It’s been a VERY long time coming with these but I’m finally confident enough to get started on the third and final piece for their collection.

I think I’m like a week late posting my 2025 Wrapped but I’m gonna do it anyways…

What a year it’s been, some lows, so many highs, and a lot of excitement for what’s coming up in 2026.

Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing more of my favorites from the year. Thank you for following along on this journey of mine!
