In Colombia, the expression speaks to a particular kind of refinement, the thoughtful gesture, the unexpected flourish, the subtle detail that transforms something familiar into something memorable.

This is the spirit of our supper club at Studio Tropical NYC.

A Colombian-Caribbean inspired menu designed by Chef Stephanie Bonnin, rooted in memory, seasonality, and the flavors of the Caribbean, interpreted through a contemporary lens.

PATIO TROPICAL 🦋 STUDIO TROPICAL

With the changing seasons, we embrace a beautiful transformation.

Patio tropical is evolving into Studio Tropical in a desire to refocus, experiment, and connect in a more intimate and authentic way. This is a metamorphosis and not a new chapter, but a deeper one. Stephanie Bonnin, chef, storyteller, and food activist invites you to a new space: a culinary lab, a place for intimate connections and experiences, and a return to food as conversation.

It is with both a deeply bittersweet taste in our mouths, and with a heart overflowing with gratitude, that we announce this is Patio Tropical’s last weekend open as we know it before we can welcome you into our new space.

Patio will forever hold a special place in our hearts and we are so truly grateful for the vibrant community we’ve built here.

Please come join us for one final celebration! Let’s bid this wonderful chapter a heartfelt goodbye and toast to new beginnings—the best way we know how: with good food, good company, and enduring warmth.

The Habanada: a whisper of heat, a memory of the tropics. 🌶️✨

Born from the visionaries at Row 7 Seeds, the Habanada was developed by chef–breeder Dan Barber and seed magician Michael Mazourek, a pepper designed to keep the aroma, fruit, and spirit of the habanero, but without the burn. It’s a love letter to flavor itself. To curiosity, resilience, and reinvention.

We source ours from , and fill it with harisama fish tartar from , a touch of garleek oil, and a soft coconut–ginger foam that tastes like the sea meeting the sun.

This dish celebrates the pepper’s journey! born in the Americas, carried across oceans, shaping the world’s cuisines.
And here we are, in New York, creating with those same roots, tropical, migrant, alive.
