Busy morning at the PFF! The outside coop has been restored to safe and functional, so today it was renamed as "The Mall" and The Fashion Line was moved in. It still needs the firring strips around the exterior, but that will wait until its not sweltering and muggy outside.
Also, Rambo and Rocky moved into "The White House" and since they had so much room, we added an Ameraucana hen named Nugget. She and Rambo bonded almost immediately, and Rocky, as usual, did his own thing.

The PFF is in need of a pet/house sitter for the week of June 12-June 19th.
If you love Nibbler, BatDuck, and the antics of the rest of the gang so much that you want to hang out with them, now is your chance!
Referrals for anyone you might know are also greatly appreciated.
(Must be ok with caring for the dogs and cats, too....)

Today the Fashion Line AKA The Mall Rats got banded and were officially given their names, with the exception of one that is still pending. We like to wait to see if we have pullets or Cockerels so they can be named appropriately, but the jury is still out on whether one will be called Macy or Dillard.

We eat our turkey eggs. Lela doesn't lay very many, but when I find them I sell them or eat them. They're GREAT for baking, too.

They're perfectly edible and apparently quite tasty, but you never see them on a menu.

I thought I had found a clue about who or what our predator has been, but ChatGPT and Gemini both said the prints belonged to either a bear or a bird, so Im not thinking so anymore.

Tough morning today. We had a predator last night and 5 adolescent chicks are now gone. There is nonsign anywhere of Alcremie and "the numbers" but Pikachu was still safe inside her house.
On a lighter note, two of the ISAs were adopted by lovely people this morning and Im sure they will have a wonderful life with them!

Four more graduates from the C.H.I.C.U. moved to the outside world! Rishon, Sheni, Shelishi and Rivii are now in the "Big Red Coop" (which isnt red anymore and needs a paint job). Pika and Cremi were in there before moving to their new house. The next step in Chicken Village is get Cole to his new house, move someone into the log cabin where he currently is, finish the wooden cottage and decide who goes to that cottage, and who will live in the tiny barn playhouse.

Made more progress on the houses in Chicken Village today. Pikachu and Alcremie moved into their new house so that I can start to move birds out of the C.H.I.C.U.
I haven't decided who is moving into the other vacant house that is ready, but Nibbler has been scoping it out.
