This 17’ x 27’ living room just received a recessed lighting upgrade designed to properly fit the space.

We laid out three rows instead of two to ensure even coverage across the full width of the room, finishing with 14 wafer lights total, including two adjustable gimbal fixtures positioned for future artwork.

🔥⚠️ Quick Space Heater Safety Tip ⚠️🔥

Yes — space heaters plug into regular outlets.
No — that doesn’t mean every outlet is safe to use.

Unless you’re looking for a surprise electrician visit, don’t run space heaters (or similar high-heat plug-in devices) unless the outlet is on a dedicated circuit.

When heaters are plugged into regular outlets that share power with lights or other rooms, the wiring inside the walls can overheat. You usually won’t see a problem right away until things stop working, a breaker trips, burning smell or worse.

✅ Dedicated outlets are built to handle heaters safely
❌ Regular outlets can overheat when pushed too hard

If you’re not 100% sure an outlet is dedicated, it’s best to ask first.

⚡ Project Complete | K**b & Tube Remediation + Lighting Upgrade ⚡

Another full home transformation wrapped up.

This project started with knob-and-tube remediation, bringing the home up to modern electrical standards for improved safety, reliability, and peace of mind.

From there, we completed a full lighting upgrade throughout the home, installing clean, modern wafer recessed lighting room by room — dramatically improving brightness, layout, and overall feel of the space.

To finish it off, we integrated Lutron smart switches, giving the homeowners full control over their lighting with dimming, scheduling, and app-based automation.

Two Years In — What a Ride
On May 16th, Cannon Electrical Services turns 2 years old, and I just want to take a moment to say thank you.

Two years ago, I made a leap I wasn’t fully prepared for. I left my day job under some tough circumstances — not because I had everything figured out, but because I knew I needed a change. Starting this business wasn’t part of the plan just yet, but when the door opened, I took the chance… and I’m so grateful I did.

Since then, it’s been a journey of early mornings, long days / nights, and a lot of growth — both personally and professionally. And none of it would’ve been possible without the support of my amazing customers, friends, and family.

This year, I’m proud to say we’ve taken another step forward: we’ve added a new van to the fleet to help keep up with demand and better serve our community.
