In November I made a bold decision: overhaul the entire design process.

We've been doubling down on our full-service experience. Bigger budgets, luxury materials, larger scopes, and higher expectations. It required a major shift... learning an entirely new software from scratch.

2D plans are powerful tools, but when clients are investing hundreds of thousands of dollars into their outdoor living spaces, clarity matters. Buy-in matters even more and showing them the vision can take the project from good to great.

Now? We present the 2D plan... and with one click, they're standing inside their future in 3D. And with the help of a little Al magic we can create a little golden hour to help convey a cozy feeling.

It's not just a plan anymore, it's an experience.

I just spent the nicest Saturday at my clients’ garden party celebrating the completion of their exterior renovation. Despite it being a small space, guests meandered in and out and it handled the capacity beautifully creating pockets of conversation and laughter. The thing that tickled me most was that those seated at the table were longstanding neighbors whom had never met each other before today.

It sounds hokie, but one of the reasons I love my job is because of how it affects people. Not only does it make the homeowners happy, it makes the random neighbor walking their dog smile as they pass, the delivery person enjoys walking up their pretty new entry walk, and birds and pollinators stop to visit. It even inspires deep conversations and new connections turning neighbors into friends which makes for a generally safer community.

Overall it’s a pretty special thing to witness, and I’m thankful they trusted me in this process. 🐝

Clients like this lovely woman are the “why” behind my work. This is Betty, my most adorable client ever. She was born in 1920 and has such a zest for life! She has lived in her house since the 50’s and her house reminds me of the one from the movie Up, with all the houses around her getting scraped to make way for behemoth McMansions. We updated her landscape to make her house cheerful and to keep up with the Joneses, but mostly just to make her happy, which makes me happy! 🐝
