Even though it's cold doesn't mean that you can't go foraging!!! Usnea grows on live trees so I always wait for a windy day or a storm to come through then I check the ground everywhere and I almost always find some....you just have to train your eye. Usnea is also a sign of good air quality.

After a storm or strong winds, I walk the property looking for downed branches with Usnea on them. I scored a bunch today!

There are different kinds of Dock. The main ones that I deal with are curly dock and broad leaf dock. Highly medicinal and the birds love the seed stalks during the winter time! When foraging, dont forget to leave some for the wildlife 🥰🥰

I FINALLY made it out to my garden!! I have a few herbs planted and of course you know that everything that i plant has not only food uses but medicinal uses as well. One happy, hippy, country girl right here 😁😁😁
