~ TEACHING TUESDAY: GREEN ARROW & WEEPING ALASKAN CEDAR ~

Looking for an evergreen that makes a statement? These two trees bring unique shapes and year-round greenery to your landscape!

🌲 GREEN ARROW ALASKAN CEDAR

- Known for its narrow, upright growth habit—perfect for adding height without taking up much space!

- Great for smaller areas, narrow garden beds, and vertical accents.

🌿 WEEPING ALASKAN CEDAR

- Features graceful, cascading branches that create an elegant, flowing look.

- A beautiful specimen tree that adds character and serves as a focal point in your landscape.

☀️ SUN: Both grow best in full sun to partial shade.
💧 WATER/SOIL: Prefer moist, well-drained soil.

🌱 WHY CHOOSE THESE TREES? Their unique forms add visual interest and year-round evergreen color to your property!

DID YOU KNOW? Both varieties are part of the false cypress family, despite commonly being called cedars!

🌿 TEACHING TUESDAY — SKIP LAURELS

Skip Laurels are a popular choice for privacy screens, hedges, and property borders thanks to their dense, upright growth.

🌿 WHY SKIP LAURELS?
• Evergreen foliage for year-round privacy
• Dense, upright growth habit
• Great for hedges and screening
• Tolerates pruning well
• Creates a natural privacy barrier

🌱 PLANT CARE:
☀️ Sun: Full sun to partial shade
💧 Water: Water regularly while establishing; once established, water when the soil begins to dry
🌱 Soil: Prefer moist, well-draining soil and do not like sitting in soggy conditions
✂️ Pruning: Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape, size, and a dense hedge

🌿 FUN FACT:
Skip Laurels are a narrower-growing variety of laurel, making them a great choice when you want a privacy hedge without a hedge that becomes extremely wide.

Looking to add privacy to your landscape? Skip Laurels are a great option!
