We are looking to hire hardworking asphalt laborer to assist in the Installation,smoothing, and setting of asphalt for parking lots. The responsibilities of an Asphalt Laborer include delivering water to the rollers and plate compactors, preparing the pavement saw, measuring the line for the day, sweeping and raking the deck, working in between the mill, directing traffic, and cleaning the area at the end of the day.

To ensure success as an Asphalt Laborer, you should be physically fit and be able to work long hours in all weather conditions. Asphalt Laborers are often required to work over weekends.

Asphalt Laborer Responsibilities:

Offloading the truck and gathering tools for the day.
Transporting rakes, lutes, shovels, and spray cans to the paver.
Moving the pavement saw to the transverse joint.
Sweeping and cleaning the area in front of the paver.
Measuring and lining out the area for the day’s paving.
Working as a Flagger to direct motorists away from the work zone.
Transporting water to the rollers, power broom, and plate compactor.
Building a launchpad for the paver at the beginning of the pull.
Assisting the screed operator.
Shoveling material out to the end gate.
Maintaining cleanliness and packing equipment away at the end of the day.

Asphalt Laborer Requirements:

Proven work experience as an asphalt laborer or flagger.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work on weekends.
Ability to travel to wherever the job is needed.
Ability to work for long hours in all weather conditions.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Excellent communication and observation skills.

We are looking to hire an experienced concrete finisher who can expertly pour, level, and smooth concrete on a variety of surfaces including roads, sidewalks and curbs, You may also be required to set the forms that hold the concrete in place, cut expansion joints, and monitor the curing of the concrete to ensure a high-quality finish.

You should be physically fit and be able to stand for long periods of time, work on your knees, lift heavy materials, and work outdoors in high heat and cold weather.

Concrete Finisher Responsibilities:

Setting forms that hold the concrete in place.
Cleaning and inspecting surfaces for pouring issues.
Directing the casting of the concrete with the truck driver.
Pouring, smoothing, and leveling concrete using a rake, trowel, float, and screed. This includes handheld tools and power tool versions.
Monitoring the effects of the weather on the curing process.
Applying sealing and hardening components.
Safely operating power vi****or to ensure the concrete is compacted.
Molding and constructing expansion joints using joiners and edging tools.
Polishing surface using a power surfacing machine.
Concrete Finisher Requirements:

Minimum 2 years work experience as a concrete laborer or mason.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to lift heavy materials and work long hours.
Ability to kneel for long periods.
Knowledge of hand-held and power tools including power vi****ors, polishers, cutting saws, and edging tools.

Asphalt/ Concrete Repair and Maintenance (Grain Valley Area)
$15 - $25 hourly Depending on Skill Level
Must be able to bend, lift up to 70 pounds, stand and work outside
These are physical jobs done outside, please only apply if you can meet these

Driver/Labor Position:
Must have 3 years clean driving record No DWI - Must be over 21 years of age
Prefer CDL driver, but would consider paying for CDL training for right person
Required to pass drug screen
Reliable transportation
Available for overtime and weekends
Responsible for transporting company vehicle and equipment to job site safely
Knowledge of Seal/Crackfill of Asphalt - Basic Concrete Repair to sidewalks (Preferred)
Must be able to lift, bend, stand for extended periods of time and work outside.
