My heart is shattered.

My wife, Natalie Castrogiovanni, has passed, and the world feels unbearably quiet without her in it.

She was love in motion — fierce, compassionate, courageous, and full of light. She carried hope where others saw limits, and she gave of herself in ways that changed lives far beyond what words can capture. To know her was to be seen. To love her was the greatest gift of my life.

Right now, I am numb. I am grieving a love that shaped who I am and a future we dreamed together. I ask for patience, grace, and prayers as I learn how to breathe in a world where she is no longer physically here — but forever present in my heart.

Hold her name gently.
Remember her boldly.
Love each other fiercely.

Always have confidence in the science you’ve been taught. Even when others doubt you.

2 years ago I inherited a property with fruit trees. The previous Arborist had been pruning them with a more ornamental look and not optimizing their potential by pruning them they way they were intended.

At the end of my first year I made the decision to prune them aggressively knowing it would yield almost no production. This caused a lot of doubt in my abilities and I was playing the answering game with all her questions.

This year all the trees have yielded a bumper crop of their respective fruits and now I’m getting complaints because I’m sending bushels faster then they can eat them.

Moral of the story is Stay the course!!

This Hemlock was damaged last year from all the snow. The client was ready to throw in the towel and live with a gaping hole in her tree. After a little bit of finesse and some thin wire, the hole is gone!!! Never settle for the simplest solution.
