As OSHA Safe & Sound Week comes to a close, we're reminding everyone that safety doesn't end when the week does.

This week's focus was hand and finger safety. Taking a few extra seconds to identify pinch points, be aware of moving materials and equipment, and think before placing your hands can prevent serious injuries.

In the coming weeks, we'll continue the conversation through field toolbox talks focused on hand and finger safety. The best safety improvements come from those doing the work every day, so we encourage everyone to share concerns, observations, and ideas for better hazard controls.

🧤 Safe + Sound Week: Protect Your Hands & Fingers 🧤

Our hands are one of our most valuable tools, and they help us accomplish just about everything we do. Unfortunately, it only takes a split second for a pinch point, sharp edge, moving part, or shifting material to cause a serious injury.

Today, take a moment to remember:

✅ Watch where you place your hands when moving materials
✅Keep fingers clear of pinch points and moving equipment
✅ Use caution around sharp edges and sheet metal
✅ Never bypass or remove machine guards
✅ Use the proper gloves and tools for the task
✅ Think ahead: where will your hands go if something slips or shifts?

If you notice a hazard that could cause a hand or finger injury, speak up and help get it corrected. Small changes can make a big difference in preventing injuries.

Take a few extra seconds to keep your hands out of the line of fire.

On July 17, our team enjoyed a relaxing lunch outside on the patio, soaking up the sunshine, admiring the beautiful flowers, and spending time together away from our desks. Great food, great weather, and even better company made for a perfect summer afternoon.

On July 10, our team had the opportunity to participate in Confined Space Entry Training provided by Great Lakes Environmental. The training included both classroom instruction and a hands-on mock demonstration, giving our service plumbers and boilermakers valuable experience in identifying hazards, following proper safety procedures, and responding to confined space situations.

Investing in ongoing safety training helps ensure our employees have the knowledge and skills needed to work safely and confidently in the field. A big thank you to Great Lakes Environmental for delivering an engaging and informative training session.

Safety remains our top priority, and we're committed to providing continuous learning opportunities for our team.

🏃‍♂️💨 Another Great Year at the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge! 💨🏃‍♀️
Our team hit the pavement once again on June 11th, proudly participating in the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge alongside our fantastic partners at Coverco. This annual tradition has become one of our favorites over the past few years, and this year’s energy did not disappoint.

After crossing the finish line, we celebrated with some well‑earned Southern Junction BBQ — the perfect way to refuel and wrap up a great day of teamwork and community.

Huge shoutout to everyone who showed up, laced up, and represented with enthusiasm. Already excited for next year’s challenge!
