Gardens at OVRE The gardens at OVRE visionary ARTS in Buffalo, NY. The gardens are located on what was the traditional home of the Seneca.

The Gardens at OVRE would like to acknowledge and pay deepest respect to the Haudenosaunee people and the Six Nations of the Seneca, Mohawk, Oneida, Cayuga, Onondaga, and the Tuscarora. Gardens at OVRE invites you on a journey into the eclectic gardens that flourish at OVRE Visionary ARTS. We are located in Buffalo, NY and have been a featured garden in Garden Walk Buffalo Niagara since 2016. The

gardens here have also served as outdoor performance sites for creative improvised dance and music as well as an outdoor art gallery of sorts. The gardens are lovingly maintained by partners Kelly & Jared and represent over a decade of hard work and artistic process. We welcome you and hope you will visit us for this years Garden Walk or catch a performance and/or installation in the courtyard this summer.

Good Morning from OVRE in sunny BFLO. A few of our favorite blossoms from this season. The end of summer coast into fall is here and it's that special time of year when you begin to crave the crisp cool autumnal air. Im thinking back on the season this morning while enjoying a really great cup of Ethiopian Buku Sayisa from Colorado roasters Sweet Bloom ~ perfection in every bean! Flowers and coffee might well be a new angle on traveling into a floral portal and we are so here for it.

Good Morning from OVRE! Today's flower portal is a stunning blackberry lily aka leopard lily. Belamcanda chinensis is actually in the Iris family! Shown here dancing in front of a bed of black eyed susans and echinacea. This is a unique addition to our sunny pollinator garden and adds a beautiful pop of orange above the sea of lush late summer blooms. Exotic in appearance and tall in height but with a small detailed flower shows itself off nicely along a walkway where one can easily view the intricacies of the bloom.

We just want to thank everyone who came through for Garden Walk Buffalo this year! It was our 9th year featuring our gardens in this walk and every year I feel we learn a great deal on how to improve for next year. I'm already planning! A really fun project we completed for Garden Walk Buffalo this year that I forgot to share yesterday! This turned out perhaps better than what we initially thought it would. Jared cut out the lily and sketched a bit of the flower then I painted a few coats of acrylic and sealed it up. We plan do more morning glory and hibiscus as well! The layering of art into your gardenscape adds color amd depth a takes the garden into visionary territory. I love incorporating paintings as well as sculpture into our design and plan to add much more as this garden matures in its vision.

A super serene morning in the garden to start the official Garden Walk Buffalo weekend! This is the 30th anniversary of Garden Walk Buffalo and our 9th year participating in the festivities. A few of my personal favorites from this week. The weather was quite warm for this early in the season so most of our poppies are absolutely in full bloom and the dutch iris's, columbines, bearded iris, and passionflower began a lovely mid spring display. A flower to me is much like a portal ~ a brief invitation to another world that overlaps ours simultaneously but can be easily overlooked. In nature we find these worlds and they can be invitations to dive into something absolutely transcendent and even somewhat alchemical. The ephemerality of this practice brings you a heightened awareness and deeper understanding of space & time.

These beauties prior to the storms rolling in today. When I went out this morning there had been such a dramatic blooming of about half of this entire peony as well as half of the buds on one of the poppies opening just overnight. It's barreling toward summer and I find myself craving the ability to pause it all and just suspend time in this spring bliss. Hoping the storms really do manage to bring a little cool to the blaze of the last few days.
