Love to the Burbank Board I’m always proud of. Great customer service and respects everyone.
For over 100 years, the Burbank Association of REALTORS® has proudly served the Burbank community and supported our members with professionalism, integrity, and care.
Part of that service includes renting our Hall to community groups. The Hall is a multi-purpose meeting and event space open to a wide range of uses—from meetings and presentations to celebrations and community gatherings. As a policy, we do not host, endorse, or support the views of those who rent our facility, and we do not discriminate in providing access to our space.
On April 28, the Association rented the Hall for a political event. The Association was subsequently accused of “hosting” the event and endorsing the speaker. This is incorrect. The Association did not provide any discount or special preference, nor did it screen or censor what would be said. The event sponsor was simply a customer renting the Hall at the Association’s standard rate.
We are aware that social media posts and videos are circulating with inaccurate information about the Association’s role. The Burbank Association of REALTORS® supports free speech and does not screen or censor the views of those who rent its Hall.
At the same time, while we respect and support the right to peaceful and lawful protest, we do not support harassment of any kind. We are concerned by reports that individuals attempting to enter the building experienced harassment, and we are especially troubled by any calls for ongoing harassment of our staff.
Our priorities are simple: safety, respect, and a welcoming environment for all—our members, guests, and the broader community—regardless of political, religious, or personal beliefs.
