Mother in law won't admit it but I know she wasn't too enthused about taking down her pine that was up in the primary lines in the alley. Kept about 5ft of the trunk and gave it back to her 😂

Spent the weekend in the Hills playing tourist in Deadwood, Hill City, and ended at some local friends private cabin.

Got to pretend I was a logger for a few hours and dropped a couple standing dead pines and a tricky one leaning towards the cabin!

For not paying attention in high school I seem to do ok with physics and geometry.

Had to get a little bit crafty with rigging a tagline to the base of the tree and running it to an anchor point on another tree farther up the hill to keep the whole thing from rolling the rest of the way down into the cabin.

The video doesn't do it justice for how steep the slope was and all of the loose shale rock that I kept slipping on 😂

Thanks Tanner Kack for getting out of the office and dragging brush and Susie Petry Karbo for feeding us entirely too much!

Also, if you're wondering, I was listening to Timber by Ke$ha/pitbull the whole time 😬

Went on a over night work run to the Philip area. Knocked out a big ol spruce and few trim jobs, I remembered to get 2/3 before and after pictures 😂
