🌳 Welcome to the team, Dr. Jessie Farris! 🌳

The City of Burleson Parks and Recreation department is proud to welcome Dr. Jessie Farris as our first Urban Forester/Arborist—a key step forward in strengthening and growing Burleson’s tree canopy. The position was partially supported by a grant awarded to the department by the Texas A&M Forest Service.

A Burleson native and former Parks & Recreation Board member, Dr. Farris brings both professional expertise and a deep personal connection to our community. She joins us from the City of Dallas, where she led citywide reforestation efforts and coordinated complex urban forestry projects.

In her new role, Dr. Farris will guide tree planning and planting, assess tree health, manage pests, lead inventories, and work closely with residents, departments, and community partners to grow a healthier, more resilient urban forest.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Farris to Burleson! 🌱

We are at the start of year five and I just wanna say thank you to all of our customers over the years. Thank you for all the referrals. Thank you for every phone call text and opportunity to work on your trees and or your friends and family. Thank you to everyone who has ever even given us a phone call just to do a bid even if we didn’t get the job, we are just so appreciative of everyone. As we are gearing up for the next year and our reshaping the way that we do a few things, I would like to take the time for you guys to check out this tree. I love trees, I hate taking them down, unless absolutely necessary. And this right here is an example of just how beautiful trees are and why I love them so much.
