I asked his sister , Logan () what song I should use for this post and here are a few words from her about Tyler.

“Explaining him in a whole he was such an outcast, but the best one.
He was unapologetically himself.
He was quiet to most but his love screamed.
He wore his heart on his sleeve and cared for very few people.
My kids were is everything.
So wasn’t me and my parents.
He’s a bestfriend through and through .
If you can think of a song that might say those things in anyways would work.
But honestly love, it’s hard to put who he was and still is in the afterlife in a song ❤️”

She also told me they take comfort knowing he is free now and has gone back to the earth. We talked about his middle name, Charles, and how origin meaning of the name is “a free man”. I think the song I chose is fitting and am glad that I was able to paint this for her to give to their parents. He went missing 1 year ago on May 5th, 2025, and he has been dearly missed every second if it.

My first complete commissioned portrait got to play a part in the celebrations of a very special day! A memorial painting of David Joseph Ivins, 1951-2021, commissioned as a gift from the bride to the groom to represent his spirit being with them that day.

I was truly honored to be asked to do such a special piece of artwork, and blessed to get be there on their wedding day! Thank you and !!! 🥰
