Mental toughness final RISE challenge has been completed. Our spring cohort of students has officially been inducted to the program. Tool training, site visits with our community partners, jobsite visits, and hikes up the tallest mountain in Vermont - Mount Mansfeild with over a foot of fresh snow have sealed the deal. When our students are not at the jobsite building the duplex, we like to have some fun in the classroom. We’ve been up to a lot of good stuff as of late.

Here are some of our recent endeavors:
- Making and of course testing out riding our new snow skates
- Master engineering bridge building with the help of marshmallows, gumdrops and tape
- Botanical lessons at the UVM Greenhouse
- Whoopie pie making with
- Touring local artist and staff member studio
- Holding democratic elections for our Student Policy Council

With a big push before the holidays,
the lid is ON at the Duplex on 8 East St.
Our trainees are proud of their work to get the framing done and ready to fly the engineered trusses.

Next up: Roof comes on Monday.
