GG&T

We are located in the middle of Kansas, outside of the little town of Burns right on the edge of the Flint Hills. After over 20 years of gardening, where every year the garden seemed to expand, we recently built two 30X70 foot high tunnel greenhouses allowing GG&T (Green’s Ginger & Turmeric) to be created. In our personal gardens, we have always strived to produce the healthiest crops possible and this hasn’t changed. We love knowing that the crops we provide to our customers are truly healthy and have not been sprayed with any type of chemical throughout their growth. We are happy that our passion for growing healthy food has led us to be able to offer fresh Baby Ginger and Turmeric to the public, at a time where it may be unavailable otherwise. We strive toward two things on our farm; 1) Quality: One of the fertilizers that we use is made from kelp, and not only does it provides great nutrients for the plant, it also contains over 70 minerals, micronutrients, amino acids, and vitamins. These are elements that are lacking in most farmlands today, which lead to a lack of vitamins and minerals in the crops produced. Because of our extreme attention to the health of our soil; by adding compost, natural fertilizers, and liquid kelp, our soil retains these minerals and vitamins, which means the product you receive is healthier for you. 2) The environment: The environment is very important to us, without a healthy planet we have nothing. The primary fertilizer we use is organic pelletized chicken manure. Watering is done with drip irrigation, which puts the water right at the roots of the plant where it is needed, reducing our water usage to a minimal amount. No herbicides are used on our farm; all weeding is done by hand, although this is labor intensive it is well worth the effort to ensure a healthy product for our customers.
