Jay Of All Trades LLC

Jay Of All Trades LLC Since 2001 Jay of All Trades has been serving the Burnsville MN and South of MN River communities with exemplary home repair contractor services.

Jay of All Trades was established because the owner, Jay Tainter, saw that there were urgent needs not being met. Larger contractors seem to ignore the smaller, or what they deem insignificant to them, projects that are under a certain budget. We take pride in providing dedicated attention to absolutely every customer and have received continuous business and referrals because of our outstanding commitment to every project, whatever the size of the job.

Father's day gift idea. Forget the stud finder that requires a battery. This finds the nail or screws in the stud. It uses strong magnets to find an stick to the wall so you can nail base or identify studs location. I just had call to repair a wall that a stair rail was screwed into the sewer stack using a stud finder, tricked into thinking it was a stud.

Air exchanger: unplug it or shut it down during high humidity high temp MN summers. Electrician an I are working in a house that's only 8 years old but felt so humid with AC running all day. He found air exchanger hasn't been shut off in 8 years except to change filters. I'm in agreement with only running spring an fall or when temps are moderate under 80 and above 50 degrees if you have any controls. Theres still usually a passive air intake to help balance house air from running bath fans, kitchen exhaust etc.
