FREEZE MIZERS

Freeze mizers are great for keep PIPES defrosted. They won’t help your well with the weather getting down in the teens.

Dripping water will freeze in this kind of weather. Especially outside water.

RUNNING WATER CANT FREEZE

DRIPPING WATER CAN FREEZE

Hook a short hose up and turn your OUTSIDE faucet on till a solid stream is coming out. I would recommend turning it on sat evening and letting it run till Monday morning. This will keep your well cycling enough to keep pipes thawed out.

Freeze mizers protect from pressure tank to the faucets. They won’t let enough water out to keep your pump cycling often enough to keep pipes defrosted from well head to the tank. The water between the head and tank only moves when the pump is refilling the tank so it’s crucial to make sure you are running enough water to allow that too happen.

Yall stay warm and let that water run!

Fun Fact: A pop up hunting blind around your equipment with heat lamp on psi switch and check valve, along with running the water greatly increases your chances of your well staying in working condition during a freeze!

*** FREEZE INFO ***

With this awful freeze coming, we know there will be a lot of customers without water and with broken pipes.

With that being said I have a few things that will help tremendously and some other things that yall need to know.

1. Running water can’t freeze and it won’t hurt your pump

2. Turning the power off and draining it down will cause you to have broken pipes. You can never get all the water out unless you hook air to it and blow it out.

3. If your pipes freeze, double check the well itself and turn the faucet on at the tank, if you don’t have water, turn the power off to the pump.

4. It will not get above freezing from Saturday night till Monday morning. If you call us and tell us that you don’t have water, we are going to to simply tell you that it’s freezing outside and that it’s going to stay that way till Monday. If you don’t have water at lunch on monday. Call back.

5. We are running in ONE service rig. We will get to you AS SOON AS WE CAN. Please don’t call numerous times asking if we are still coming. If we tell you that we will be there, we will make it happen.

6. ** Most Important ** Sunday they are calling for a lot of ice which means black ice on the roads. I will not put Ty, myself or my service rig at risk on the roads on Sunday if I think it’s too dangerous, end of story. We both have families and little ones to get home to.

7. If we don’t answer the phones, PLEASE leave a voicemail or shoot us a text. If we are in water with glue and cleaner on our hands, we aren’t going to answer. 979-830-0625 is our office number, Samantha will take all calls as usual.

8. Heat lamps and space heaters work wonders. The biggest thing that helps is keeping the wind off the equipment!

9. PATIENCE!!!! Plumbers and ourselves will be slammed and running like crazy!

10. After all this is said and done, we will need a hot meal and cold beer, ribeyes and coors light will work if you’re feeling generous!

*** A FREEZE IS COMING ***

Please, everyone take precautionary measures before and during the freeze to your pipes and water well equipment.

• Get those pipes wrapped

• Get some type of heat in the well house

•Leave faucets running with small stream, especially outside faucets. A drip will freeze, especially outside or if you have a bad wind chill.

• Draing your tank and pipes never gets all the water out, the pipes will still crack/bust.

• Running a good amount of water (a hose 3/4 of the way on) will be your best bet of keeping the well equipment from freezing.

• A dripping faucet will not allow your well equipment to turn on frequently enough to keep the pipes and metal components such as, check valves, psi switch tubes, and anything galvanized from freezing.

• Your water well will be okay if you leave water running all night.

• The pressure relief valve (brass part on well head) will spray water if there is any frozen pipes or blockage from the well head to the pressure tank. It’s supposed to do that. If that happens and the temp is going to get above freezing, turn power off and give it a few hours and turn back on. Give the pipes time to defrost before freaking out.

• Call us for any water well or water filtration needs. 979-830-0625
