Meet Cindy, our SPLASH Plumbing Specialist & Merchandise Coordinator!
Cindy has been a fixture at SPLASH for over 30 years — and not just figuratively. She studied Interior Design at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. To complete the six remaining credits for her degree, she secured an internship at a Scandinavian furniture store. Within weeks, she was hired full-time and gained hands-on experience in design layouts, merchandising, and comprehensive vendor sales.
After three years, she was ready for a new challenge. Scanning the want ads (yes, the newspaper!), she spotted a listing for a salesperson/designer position working with contractors, builders, and mid- to high-end clientele. She didn’t realize it involved plumbing sales until the interview — and two hours later, she was hired.
Since joining SPLASH, Cindy has eagerly expanded her knowledge beyond plumbing to include mirrors, medicine cabinets, lighting, accessories, and all the “bathroom jewelry” that completes a space. She’s held her spot in the showroom since 1992, carving out her niche and remaining a trusted constant in an industry that evolves daily.
Known affectionately by her team as a walking catalog, Cindy can recite hundreds of product codes from memory — and has even been blindfolded to identify faucets by touch alone. (Yes, really!)
Her all-time favorite showroom product is the Moen Velocity Showerhead (S6320; of course, she knew the code). But her ultimate wish-list item? A BainUltra tub.
"I owned one in a house I remodeled, and I miss the benefits of the therapies it offers," she says.
