Forgot my saw horses and wood clamps, how am I gonna cut wood? I came up with this setup real quick. Gotta keep moving!

We've been spending a lot of time bracing and supporting. These built-up beams will help level and remove much of the bounce in these 100+ year old floors.

Now we can continue to build walls above our basement and 2nd floor support beams. Windows coming soon, too!

Demo on Cheswick Marina looks to be mostly complete.

The 2.5 ton limit on the dumpster was exceeded by a little... 3 tons. Over. So, 5.5 tons hauled out and a little left to go.

Framing is nearly complete and the spaces are taking shape. Now we can run a new sewer drain system, concrete the floor, then on to plumbing and wiring.

💪😁

Cheswick Marina has a new owner and she is very excited to give it some long needed upgrades 😁.

This is going to transform from a large dreary bathroom with an outside shower, to a full-on Guest Center. It's a gut job with a new floorplan, which is very exciting!

It will feature 2 small 1/2 baths (one for ladies, one for gentlemen), a shower/changing room, and a full size family bathroom. There will be a lobby area with some seating and vending. Expect lots of tile and stylish touches!

Alex Chrzanowski is my lead guy on this job. He's been my helper for 9 months, so it's time to let him step up and get his hands dirty.

We started on this full remodel early January. It had a new roof and front porch, and was gutted to the studs.

We secured the building and did some cleanup outside, then set up shop.

Right now we're framing, bracing, making the floors sturdy again. It's a 100+ year old house so it could use use some love!

Shoutout to my buddy Bruce of Butler Beautifications. He's my lead guy on this project and he's doing great.

We built a very clean and trendy island-table based on the concept in the first pic.

It features a handy GCFI outlet underneath with hooks to hang extra cord... because kids... and a new puppy 😁. Plus, it just keeps everything orderly.

This is another favorite of mine, I really enjoyed this project 🥰

Everything was fabricated from 3/16" plate steel and 1/4" cable, with 3/4" nuts and allthread. Real hardware, not tin.

My friend built the addition, so I placed extra framing before the drywall went up. And piece by piece, it was installed on-site.

The arches on the lower porch are functional. We needed to cut 4' off the span and since I was already fabricating, these were the answer. Up top, there was spread at the bottom of the roof since it's an open design. I had a solution for that as well, with almost zero disruption to the view.

The tie cables are adjustable but nothing has moved in 4 years, inside or out!

Copper countertops are better than you would think...🤔

It's been 4+ years since this was built and it has held up beautifully. She uses it daily, setting hot pans directly on it is not a problem. It will dent slightly but has not breached. And if it ever did, it is repairable. You can't get that with any other high end countertop.

It's made of 24 ga Copper and permanently bonded to an oak underlayment. I soldered the seams on the installed counter with no adverse effects. That's quality!

Did you know copper kills germs? Yep, it's anti-microbial. And it has what I call a living finish. With normal cleaning, it takes a beautiful patina and is not dirty. Polish or clearcoat it anytime... or don't.

Above all, it is strikingly beautiful 😍

The last pictures are of a writing desk I resurfaced which led the customer to contacting me about this. No one anywhere would touch it, but we nailed it with lasting results!
