Day Two of the bathroom reno…today was “one of those days.” After one of the smoothest demo days we’ve ever had, today decided to throw some curveballs. We got the window eliminated, some drywall hung, the new shower diverter installed, and the back wall of the shower framed out. Not nearly as much accomplished as we were shooting for, but we worked through a lot of issues and are primed for a more productive day tomorrow. To top it all off, I got splattered with spray foam so I’ll be shaving my legs tonight 😂 (If you know, you know. Spray foam and leg hair don’t mix)

Every time I make a post I say “we’re going to start posting more regularly” and then I forget to post for like a year, but hopefully I can stick to this mini-series we’re trying to do. We started our fifty-eleventh bathroom remodel today and thought it would be fun to show a day-by-day progression. We are eliminating the tub and one of the windows to put in a full-sized shower, replacing the vanity/lights/mirrors, putting down a new floor, adding a light over the toilet, and probably a few things I’m forgetting about. Day 1 is all about demo. I forgot to take a picture after everything was stripped out and cleaned up, but the last two pictures were taken towards the end of the day. Tomorrow we will get the new shower framed out, window eliminated/siding replaced, and if all goes smoothly we should have time to put down the new floor.

Little bit of late handymaning. We had customer whose child accidentally pulled the bathroom sink off the wall (it wasn’t properly mounted, but had somehow managed to hang tight since 1963 with no issues!😲) We’re booked pretty tight over the next couple weeks, but squeezed this one in after hours tonight. Some nice beefy lag bolts ensure that the new vanity won’t be coming off the wall anytime soon!
