This photo from Oregon's Deschutes National Forest shows the difference in how a wildfire will act in treated and untreated areas. The left side of this road is untreated, while the right side was treated with thinning & prescribed fire three years prior to the fire. The high-intensity crown fire dropped from the canopy (aka treetops) to the forest floor once it reached the treated area. The results are the trees in the treated area lived, while almost all the trees in the untreated area died.

Coastal Mountain Timber is a family owned and operated business that provides professional tree care services including tree trimming, tree removal and vegetation management.

We are looking to hire an experienced Field Supervisor to oversee our tree crews.

The Field Supervisor responsibilities include:
Determining the most efficient utilization of tree crews
Managing and reporting on the pruning and removal of trees that are around or in proximity to electric distribution and transmission lines
Oversee the utilization of equipment, tools and materials required to prune and remove trees
Remain current with arboricultural practices and ensure employees receive up-to-date training in new techniques or practices

*A minimum of five years experience in line clearance tree work and have been a qualified line clearance tree worker is REQUIRED.
