January is here! Which means baby season has begun!
Raccoons don’t just “pass through”. Once inside, they actively tear up insulation, trample wiring, contaminate surfaces, and create latrine areas where they repeatedly defecate.
Some things to think about…
During mating season (late winter into early spring):
Raccoons become more aggressive and persistent about shelter.
✔️ Males roam more and force entry into attics and crawlspaces.
Females actively seek warm, enclosed spaces like attics to prepare for birthing and raising kits.
✔️Once babies are present, damage and contamination typically increase significantly.
Raccoons are strong, intelligent, and destructive when nesting indoors.
They commonly rip up insulation and v***r barriers to create bedding or pathways. They choose specific areas to defecate , which leads to heavy contamination across joists, insulation, and stored items.
Raccoon f***s can contain roundworm (Baylisascaris) and other parasites that pose serious health risks to humans and pets if disturbed. Urine and f***s soak into wood and insulation, causing odors, mold growth, and long-term structural damage.
If you’re hearing out of the ordinary noises in your attic or crawl space areas… it’s better to have them figured out, rather than ignore and hope for the best. Call today, before you end up with some fuzzy squatters! 317-361-9938
