Came across this yesterday when painting behind refrigerator..note it is laying on top of baseboard. I turned off the water and when I moved the hose, it started dripping. This hose had been replaced in the last 2 years. The only possible explanation for it's corrosion is that it had been sprayed with a chemical bug spray. Not knocking the bug man, but please check your ice maker hoses if you get your house sprayed regularly..
