So after a few design changes ( by myself because I'm extra ) and then a 1900 mile journey this beauty finally found its forever home in Arizona.
This was bitter sweat for me for a couple reasons, first I was just going to make my aunt a tea holder and a cutting board for Christmas, then decided to go big or go home. So this was what she asked for and this is what she ( finally ) got.
The second reason is the 1900 mile trip it took, and I followed it to install it and of course visit!
This has actually turquoise stone in it as well as turquoise dust.

Late Christmas present made for my son. Used bits and pieces of things from his life. Clothing from family members here and some that have left us! Used his old skateboard decks for the drawer fronts, and a few personal items for the pulls. I'm thankful for his mother who pulled through on getting me a very special drawer pull from his late step father. 10mm deep well snap-on socket!

Some pictures of our last job, home owner had a water leak coming from the upstairs bathroom which caused a lot of damage to their laundry room ceiling below. After getting into the job, we noticed that the floor above had had previous issues. They added support to the floor, new wood and tile to hide it.
We fixed the leak, patched the ceiling and re-stopmed it. Fresh paint and problem solved!

So I can finally post this since it has finally left the garage and reached its final destination at my son's home. This started out as a coffee table, said table had a mishap and it just so happend his mom got his a record player for Christmas. So I salvaged what I could from the initial build and made him this!
The drawer fronts are old skateboard decks he had over the years, the top drawer was the first board I actually bought him ever!
Each drawer has something in it that was from a family member. As well as the drawer pulls.
I also framed out his late step fathers shirt on the inside of the lid with left over pieces of skate boards.

I was commissioned by a friend's wife to make them a new shoe rack. They could have gotten a much cheaper one on Amazon ...

We did a fun little ( literally) job for a couple turning an attic space into a playroom of sorts.
Total height of the room was I believe 60 inches or so... but it was definitely a fun build. Started out pretty much a blank slate. Can't wait to get pictures of the finished room after carpet and decorations!
This room has halo lights that they went nuts over!
