‼️ THIS IS NOT MY WORK ‼️
This is why you don’t hire a sealcoater who knocks on your door offering a “half-off” deal.
A homeowner called me today panicking. His driveway was still wet and the rain is coming tonight. The company that did the job conveniently isn’t answering their phone and why would they? This is one of the worst sealcoat jobs I’ve ever seen.
He’d already had another guy come out to “fix” a spot where an Amazon truck had driven over the wet driveway. That guy charged him a ton, again did a horrible job and it’s still not dry. Honestly, he should’ve known better than to take this job knowing the rain is coming tonight and now is too busy to come out with blowers and help dry it.
When this homeowner called, I had every reason not to help. I had a long list of things I needed to get done today and didn’t really have time to take on someone else’s problem. But I felt that quiet nudge from the Lord, so I went.
I just happened to have all my blowers in my trailer because I’d spent 7 hours yesterday at a job I’d done a few days ago, making sure it was completely dry before the rain came-doing what’s right for my client.
I know this wasn’t a coincidence. The Lord calls us to be a light wherever we go, even in what seems like the small stuff. Today was one of those reminders to listen when He nudges, to show up when someone needs help, and to take pride in doing honest, careful work—the kind we stand behind every time. 🙌
